The Flower Parade Rijnsburg is held every year on the 2nd Saturday in August, this year on Saturday 10 August, and drives through Rijnsburg, Katwijk and Noordwijk (NL). Cars and floats run one after the other and are all decorated with various flowers that match the theme of the year. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather conditions, this year’s parade was cancelled but the exhibition and the show could still be enjoyed indoors for free in the flower auction hall at Royal FloraHolland.
The Flower Parade is composed of 12 floats, music cars, passenger cars decorated with flowers and music corps. In addition, the themes on the floats are supported and represented by more than 100 extras. Every year this special flower parade attracts more than 350,000 visitors from all over the world. This event is also successfully broadcast annually on national TV (broadcaster MAX).
Flower Parade Rijnsburg distinguishes itself from other corsos by the use of hundreds of types of flowers that are processed by professional arrangers. The first flower parade in Rijnsburg took place in 1946 and this year is therefore the 74th edition of the Flower Parade Rijnsburg. This makes the parade one of the oldest in the Netherlands. And Aleia Roses was joining. Our roses have been used in various arrangements on several cars.
